If you've been reading this blog for a while, you know how much Scientology freaks me out and how much I think Tom Cruise is a serious freak show.
The New York Times published an incredible piece about Scientology, how some of it's members defected (most notably Paul Haggis, filmmaker) and all the stories that linger out there. Many of them involve Tom Cruise, as he is very high up in the "church". All of it is quite scandalous and doesn't make the church look good at all.
It's an amazing read, but it's not a short article. Give yourself the time though, it's worth it. It will send shivers down your spine at some points.
