The 2011 Emmy's - Red Carpet & Show Pics!

Sooo, the Emmy's were Sunday night.

It seems they were kind of snoretastic and the only real thing to say was that Charlie Sheen is back on meds,  glam gowns are back and red is the color of the season.

Ok, let's do our thing, shall we?

Adianne Palicki:
Who now?
Anyway, this photo is mostly just to say that red was hot last night and you'll be seeing a lot more of it. Anyone? Who is this?

Alan Cumming:
Just rewatched 'XMen 2' last night instead of watching the Emmy's. Give me a break, I was massively hungover. Seriously. So bad. Alan Cumming is so good in that movie. Anyway, what did I say about red? So hot right now. Red.

Amy Poehler:
That is some light blonde hair. Yikes. I love the dress. The t-shirt gown is very hot off the runway (SS12 shows are showing them like crazy) and the color is amazing, but I feel like her hair is way overbleached. It looks straw-like.

Anna Paquin:
Why no carpet Anna? Or did you and I somehow missed it? Either way, poor Scott Caan. First, he's on Entourage, which is terrible. ADMIT IT, it sucks. And then they put him next to a girl in towering heels. Poor little guy.

She looks great. Though, this does not help me ease my mind at all as to why all men love Sookie. It's just not believable. Gahh.

But seriously, her dress is very lovely. I like how simple it is and it's draping very well. Good for her.

Ariel Winter:
Thank god there was a caption on this photo. This is the middle child/younger daughter from 'Modern Family' and I would have had no clue but for the caption. She looks very pretty here, I like the dress, it's elegant and girly, as it should be for such a young girl. I just kind of wish she'd done more with the hair, the hair is really boring.

Aubrey Plaza:
Hands down one of my favourite looks of the night. It's GORGEOUS. she's super skinny and that's kind of gross, but this dress is so lovely I can almost forget that. And I love her hair, it's the perfect blend of casual and glam. Big fat thumbs up here.

Cat Deeley:
She has a tiny bit of car sex hair here. But I like it. The dress is lovely, very glam. It might be a nice break for her to be able to wear a long dress. She's always in this micro minis on SYTYCD (So You Think You Can Dance). I like this. It's very pretty. Still, car sex hair though. It's a bit much.

Charlie Sheen:
Charlie Sheen is the Jennifer Aniston of men. Stay with me, I'm going somewhere. 'Two and a Half Men' premieres tonight, and over the past week Charlie Sheen has been all over the airwaves, but this time in a much calmer, saner rendition of himself. His comedy roast is on tonight at the exact same time that Men premieres...many have seen it and say it's unbelievably funny...That is some manipulation of the press that is done only by the best.

Just like Brad Pitt saying he didn't like himself when he was with Jennifer and her popping out the SAME day looking super happy with Justin Theroux. That's manipulation at its finest.

If I were to guess, I'd say he's back on the meds.Hopefully he stays on.

Chris Colfer:
Satin suit? Ok.
I'll let this one pass, but I don't like it. Not one bit.

Christina Hendricks:
Have we seen this exact outfit before? It looks really familiar. I'm not saying she doesn't look amazing, because she always does, but I'm bored with this look.

Claire Danes:
I love this dress. Love it. On anyone but her. Not that it doesn't look great on her, but she's too boring for it. Consider, for example, her hair. this is basically how my hair looks on a daily basis. Shouldn't it be more for this? With that dress? In other news, I want that dress. Can someone please send it to me?

Cobie Smulders:
I am struggling to get over her terrible name. And now also, her terrible posture. Ew! Stand up! She is one of those Sookie-like characters on TV whose real-life attractiveness does not equate what they give her on the show. She looks lovely here, but I loathe that color. It's nauseating.

But for real. Smulders?

Conan O'Brien & Liza Powel:
One word: AWWWWWWWWWWW!

Connie Britton:
I didn't watch 'Friday Night Lights'. Many said it was fantastic and many have said that it was total robbery that Julianna Marguiles beat out Connie for the Emmy.

If I were Connie, I would take solace in the fact that I looked f-ing amazing. AMAZING. This dress is great. Her hair is great. It's all perfect. Good for her. If you can't win the statue, at least get the hotness award. Done.

Dianna Agron:
Why does this girl insist on dressing old? It's really getting annoying. Like, you're young, you're really pretty and you probably have a fabulous figure. Why not dress properly? Instead, she dresses like Felicity Huffman. WTF?!?!

Drew Barrymore:
Speaking of WTF, WTF?! What is this mess?

It's a turtleneck flapper dress? OMG. What asshole looked at her and was all "Mmmm, you look GOOD." Because they lied, Drew. They lied. HARD.

Also, is it ripped there at the bottom below the drop waist? OH MY GOD THE HORRORS.

Elizabeth Moss:
WHAT?!?!
No, really. WHAT?! She is 29. WTF?

She is another 'Sookie'. I find nothing attractive about this woman, yet somehow I'm meant to believe that all the men covet her. Ahem.

Not with that fivehead.

Also, Halle Berry called. She wants her dress back.

Emily Blunt:
So pretty. I love this. I love the navy, I love the hair, I love it love it love it.

Evan Rachel Wood:
She's rocking this. HARD. And she's doing well on that short haircut. Good for her. VERY good for her. she looks amazing.

In unrelated news - does anyone find clutches ridiculous? I had to have a tiny purse for a wedding I was in on Saturday and I really struggled. So small!

Gretchen Mol:
I haven't seen her in anything since 'Rounders'. Why is she wasting my energy making me think of her and type things about her super boring, safe dress?

Now I'm mad.

Gwyneth Paltrow:
What a hot bitch.
I would have been madly in love with this had it been a full dress. Now I'm just vaguely offended by it because there is a bare midriff. But I can't hate it because it's unbelievably gorgeous. Wow. Ugh. I want it. I have no reason for it and have nothing to wear it to, but I want it.

Stunning.

Heather Morris:
Ok, it's a 'Glee' thing, right? Why do they all dress beyond their years. I'm not saying this isn't beautiful, but I really feel like it could have been on Toni Colette or Edie Falco...not hot ass Heather. Love her hair though. That is amazing.

Heidi Klum & Seal:

By now you know I'm a pervert. Is it just me, or do you think they have GREAT sex. Like, dirty, pervy sex. Hee hee.

Her dress frightens me because it looks alive and like it's going to eat me, but I'm happy with Seal's outfit. Though I think he should either lay off the body oil or get a car with air conditioning. It's too much shine.

Jane Krakowski:
Aside from the skunk hair, she looks amazing. She just had a baby. She looks great. Albeit slightly too Lohan in skin and hair colors.  I'm also not in love with how the seams are pulling on her dress. That's not super flattering, but it's still not bad. JUST had a baby.

Jane Lynch:
She hosted and looks very simply lovely here. You can't not love this woman. She is amazing. Enjoy this for part of why I love her. Just part.

Jayma Mays:
This dress makes me want to vomit. Seriously.
Ugh. I hate this. It's too pink and too fluffy and flouncy. It is making me feel stabby.

Jenna Ushkowitz:
As I said, it's a 'Glee' thing. WTF? You're not 50. Have a little more fun with how you dress. Christ Almighty...

STABBY!

Jennifer Carpenter:
THIS is how you show up to an awards show after your husband breaks off your marriage. She looks incredible. I still think she needs to eat a lot more and I'm really happy her hair isn't tucked behind both ears like it always is on 'Dexter', but this is perfection. PERFECT.

Jesse-Tyler Ferguson:
I don't know what is going on all over that jacket, but I need a closer view. It's weird. Like fancy sweatshirt blazer material. Me no likey. I do, however, love that he is not scared to bring his partner. That is how it should be.

Jon Hamm & Jennifer Westfeldt:
So handsome and charming. And her dress is amazing. That color is so rich and beautiful. But can we please? What is going on with his hair?

Joel McHale:
There is a scene in 'The Muppet Movie' where Kermit and Piggy go to dinner and Steve Martin is their waiter. He wears a shrunken Swedish/Swiss suit and this is how I feel about Joel McHale's weird waiter suit that is at least one size too small. WTF is going on here? Also, what is with his weirdo posture?

Julianna Marguiles:
This dress makes me angry. It's Armani Prive and it's disgusting. Like, WHY would you ever buy a dress that looks like a really bad 70's vase made by a stoner named 'Petal'? If this was in harvest gold it would SO be on my mother's bookcase 30 years ago. This dress is awful. As is her Gene Simmons hair. UGH.

Julianne Hough:
What is going on here? What is going on with her make-up in this picture? Why is it in the exact same shades as her dress? I hate this. It's over constructed, it's a barfy color, her make-up matches. Ew.

Julia Stiles:
How awkward that she and Jennifer Carpenter wore similar dresses and Jennifer Carpenter looked WAY better. That'll learn Julia Stiles for stealing Jennifer Carpenter's man. Also, is the skirt sheet? I feel like I see crotch shadow. Crotch shadow is never good.

Julie Bowen:
I am all over this dress. It's AMAZING. It would be better on someone slightly curvier, but we can't win em all. 'Modern Family' can though, and did. Including Julie Bowen. I feel like her hair makes her look thinner.

Kaley Cuoco:
Why red shoes? Why weird ankle length skirt? Why so blurry? Like the camera also didn't want to see this gross mess. She really can't dress herself. It's very depressing. She needs a stylist. If she had a proper stylist she could get more exposure on the streets and come off better and be more popular and famous. She is not doing herself any favors here.
Kate Winslet:
The just keeps slamming them out of the park. I kind of wish she didn't blend into the carpet, but she looks AMAZING, so I can't care anymore than a little.

Kathy Griffin:
It's good she's so funny, because she's kind of scary to look at.
Katie Holmes:
This is the BEST I've seen her look in a really long time. The color is great, the hair is great, her make-up is great. I don't LOVE the belt, but overall I love it.

Kelly Osbourne:
All I can think is 'take it down a notch'.
Oh wait, and smile. God.
Kelly MacDonald:
I don't know who this is, but I have decided that I quite like this dress. It's sleek, the pattern is quite lovely and it's sexy without being whorey.

Kerry Washington:
I don't remember her being this skinny. She is really, really skinny. It's creepy. I like the execution of the sheer skirt though.

Kristen Wiig:
I like this because it's 70's glam, but I hate it one other levels because of the bronze, because of the limp, boring hair. Because of the awful make-up.

But mostly the hair.
Kyle Richards:
It's overwhelming, and it's more than she should be wearing considering I have no idea who she is. This is a dress for someone who is a household name. Like...you need to be a little better known to pull this off.
Lea Michele:
I am very much into t-shirt gown...but there is something so obnoxious about this girl that I hate it. It's also that it's not simple enough. If you're going to wear a gown like that, you don't need embellishment at the sleeves.

I do really want hair that shiny though. No fooling.
Lena Heady:
I feel like I should know who this is. Or why she didn't bother to iron her dress.
But I don't. Especially the iron part.
Come on lady! It's an event. IRON.
Maria Bello:
I don't know. I don't love the hair. The dress is beautiful, but there's something about the cut at the bust/neck...like it's a little too severe...The color is so pretty, so delicate...and then it comes up to her collar.

Martha Plimpton:
She's not so pretty, but she's kind of legendary and she wore the HELL out of this dress. She wore red without matching with the carpet and she has a body that I was NOT expecting. At all. Well done Marta. WELL DONE.
Melissa McCarthy:
It's not good. While I'm very happy she won, this dress is not good at all. The sleeves are too baggy and the skirt is just slightly too long...it's too covered up. I don't know It's kind of 80's and blah. I feel like it could be better.

Michelle Forbes:
Who?
Also, your dress is boring. Penelope Cruz has worn this, Zoe Saldana has worn this. Everyone has worn this, but in color. In black it's so BLAH. SO BLAH.
Minka Kelly:
You know, considering this girl basically is famous because she's boobalicious, I find it to be an odd choice to wear this. not that it's not glam, but it's quite covered up. She's staring in Charlie's Angels which is one of history's jiggliest shows. I'm not feeling this on her. Nope.

Nancy O'Dell:
This woman knows how to pose. I am very happy with this dress, it pleases me immensely. And I love the turquoise jewelry with it. Well done Nance.

Naya Riviera:
I am BORED with these Glee girls. Seriously. So severe.
SO STABBY.
Nina Dobrev:
Winner. Hands down. It fits her like a glove, the architectural details at the hem are amazing, the color looks great on her, her hair looks great, her clutch is gorge. I love it. I LOVE it. I don't even mind that it's red.
Olivia Munn:
Why does she look so fat in this? OH MY GOD this is unflattering. Oh my god. I hate this. I HATE IT.
Padma Lakshmi:
Two awful dresses in a row. It is NOT a coincidence that they're both satin. It is not, however, the dress' fault that Padma here has the WORST make-up I've ever seen. For real, is she suffering from an extremely high fever? Why does she look so bad?

Why OH WHY do people wear dresses the same color as their skin? WRONG!
Paula Abdul:
That belt is really extreme. And by extreme I mean terrible. Like, WAY too much. And what is going on with this dress? Is it lace? It's so textured and loud despite being a dark neutral color.

Also, and most importantly, WTF is going on with her face? Why does she look like that?!
Paz de la Huerta:
I have no words. It's just so good.
Rashida Jones:
This makes me sleepy because it's boring. Even she looks bored in this. And her hair, what is going on there? Big flap of hair all over the place.

Her body looks amazing, but the rest is yawntastic.
Sarah Hyland:
Those are some huge ass shoes. The dress is cute, and age appropriate and delicate. It's good. She looks soft and pretty. Me likey.
Sofia Vergara:
I find this kind of blah, but because she wrapped it around her insane body, it's something. Those earrings are insanely fabulous. I love her. Is that weird?
Steven Cojocaru:
This is just for a nice laugh.
He's the worst.
Taraji P. Henson:
What is that weird darkness under her boobs? I don't like it. And her hair. It's so much. Too much.
Ugh, I really hate this dress. It's really awful.
Zooey Deschanel:
This dress belongs on a Barbie. Or a toddler. But her hair is fantastic and she's terrifically pretty. So it's approved.

Hate the color though. It makes me angry. Or want to sweep a blush brush over it and wipe it on my cheeks.

Many thanks to Emmys.com and Justjared.com for the photos I couldn't find through my agencies.
