You may remember, back in the day when Jersey Shore first aired, Unico was the first and loudest of all the groups denouncing the show.
They encouraged Pizza Hut to ditch as an advertiser and I'm sure Pizza Hut is pissed now because Jersey Shore is second only to American Idol in ratings and is breaking records for MTV.
Now Unico has decided they're cranky because Jersey Shore is going to film the 4th season in Italy and they claim:
"People used to go to the circus to see the freak show - that is what this will be. It will not only hurt Italians but all Americans ...their outrageous, reprehensible behavior will make us look like buffoons and bimbos."
Unico needs to shut up. Seriously. Get off your high horse and enjoy the show with the rest of us.
Pauly D (my favorite) had this to say:
On Italian women:
"I heard they're hot. Like, real Italian women, and they might even be the type to take home to your mother. I could find The One out there...you never know."
On the partying and general shenanigans:
"We probably should be on our best behavior only because I don't know what the laws are out there. I don't know what their jail is like. I don't want to be really hammered and act up someplace, because God forbid something goes wrong and we get locked up...We won't have anyone to call,"
On whether being a guido from Northern New England will be enough for Italy:
"I hope they welcome us with open arms, and they're not like, 'Who are these guys?'. I'm proud to be a full-blooded Italian, and for me, this is kind of like a vacation where I'll be tracing my roots, so I hope they're not haters."
OMFG. I can't wait.
