Britgate: Update

Wooh! That was some 24 hours...here's the rundown of events as they seem to have occurred.

Part 1: Britney shows up 2 hours late to a deposition, stays 15 minutes, they reschedule. She goes home to spend the day with the boys.

Part 2: KFed's bodyguard shows up at 7pm to pick up the boys but Britney refuses. In the kafuffle the court-appointed moniter gets locked out of the house. Someone calls the cops due to a 'custodial dispute.'

Part 3: ~3-hour stand-off

Part 4: Someone, it is not clear who (although it was reported that Alli Sims broke in with a hammer), got into the bathroom where Britney had barricaded herself with Jayden James (JJ-1 year old). At this point, 6 cop cars, 1 fire truck and 2 ambulances are outside the house as well as Kevin, Kevin's bodyguard, the court-appointed monitor and others.

Part 5: Britney is taken to the hospital in an ambulance (see below posts for photos) in a convoy of cop cars. JJ is taken minutes later (standard procedure for custodial disputes), he is heard giggling while ambulance techs take him into the hospital.

Part 6: Britney is put into a "5150" lockdown for mental breakdowns for 72 hours. She is apparently refusing visitors and on 24-hour watch. JJ is released to KFed who tries to take both children home (see below video).

Part 7: Britney tests negative for drugs and alcohol and is suspected to have bipolar disorder.

That's all for now. To be honest, what was a fun, 'let's make fun of her' thing last year has become a really sad thing this year. She's at the right age for mental illness to come out, and bipolar disorder is not an easy thing to have. Unless she takes her meds and makes sure to get therapy the next ten years are going to be really tough for her. She's lucky she's so financially sound because she has the advantage of being able to afford the help she needs.

Let's all cross our fingers for Britney Spears and hope she gets better.
