The 2013 Golden Globes

We live blogged, but if you missed it, here are some comments. Please join us next time for the Oscar's Red Carpet Live Blog. You missed a good amount of hilarious comments and a great deal of yelling (yes, it was me)

Every single woman wore 5"+ heels. And not one of them could walk in them on those bloody E! Stairs. It was silly. They should have one of those moving walkway ramps, like at the airport. It would be so much easier for the ladies.

Ryan Seacrest is apparently a member of the lollipop guild (so short!) and he snubbed a few people so badly that I couldn't not laugh. Then we flipped to NBC and as soon as White House Sharter Al Roker came on it was all over. How does he intend to have any credibility now that he admitted to sharting at the White House? He will forever be Shart-Al.

Anyhoo, there was disappointingly little jewelry, too many blush and red dresses and not enough color. It was not super fun.

Trying to keep things in alphabetical order, but who knows what Blogger will let me do...glame!

Alyssa Milano:
This is awful. On so many levels. Look how wrinkly. And so orange. And I'm pretty sure those earrings are from Topshop

Amy Adams:
Blush. The color of the night. And the blandest. Also, her hair. 2 out of 3 of us hate her. Like, she nearly ruined the Muppets for me.

Amy Poehler:
There was a lively debate about this outfit. At first, I was really not into it, because the view from her right gave me a very distinct lesbian wedding vibe and an Edie Falco kind of look. Then I noticed that she was tits out, and I loved it. Then I saw her necklace, and I hated it. JewelryJudge did not hate the necklace, because it was retro, but there is something about it that was a touch too cheesy for me.

Then there were the shoes. She really had trouble walking in them. But it was kind of great. Look at those!

Anna Gunn:
I find this woman to be the worst part of 'Breaking Bad'. She is consistently whiny, uptight and annoying. I also find her to be the worst part of this red carpet. Is she BLIND? WTF!

That collar is horror. Full horror.

Anne Hathaway:
There was much discussion in the pre-show about her potentially being pregnant...then she wore this Dior dress which was a little boxy in the midsection. Other than the weird fit, it's gorgeous. I did make a comment that she could easily be an 8 year old boy going to elementary school if she swapped her dress out for a striped t-shirt and corduroys, but that really is just about her hair.

Ariel Winter:
It's good when young girls actually look like young girls. So far I wold dare to say her sister is doing a good job at raising her. Even if this is ugly, at least it's age appropriate. Though a cap sleeve would have drastically improved it.

Carla Gugino:
This photo does not do justice to how ugly this thing looked on TV. The color was so muddy and the details so weird, I don't know what she was thinking. I feel like she could wear a sack and still look amazing, but this dress, oh my god. It was horrible.

Amanda Seyfried:
This counted as my favourite snub of the night. Ryan Seacrest was talking to her when Hugh Jackman and his wife showed up and her departure was SO awkward. It was amazing. She basically shrugged and said, "I'm sure you'd prefer to talk to Hugh" and no one even said anything. She just ended up slinking down the stairs. It was great.

She's clearly really in love with herself. But not that many people are. She was super excited about telling us that she got to keep the dress she was wearing. Um. Ok. Congratulations? Her hair was very underwhelming, very 70's limp, you know? I actually like the dress, but her fish face makes it so unappealing that I don't care.

Debra Messing:
She was one of the first ones to hit the carpet and her dress was not good. I mean, to me they look like curtains. The gathering is reminiscent of something you'd see on stage curtains. I wonder if later on she pulled a rope and it became a puffy mini dress?

Emily Blunt:
I personally really like this dress, but we barely saw her on the carpet, so we didn't have much of an opinion. I am totally digging the cut outs and I love how rich this lace is, but I'm not sure about the color. I don't know. I want to love Emily Blunt, but she has this really weird all or none thing about her.

Claire Danes:
She JUST had a baby. Like just. And people lost their minds over this dress. None of us really got why. Is it because of her body? If so, ok, kudos. But what is so special about this dress? I don't know. I'm not wowed. Why no bracelet? The satin looks a bit old. I don't know. I don't get what all the fuss is about.

Eva Longoria:
I said it the other day, I'll say it again - WHY is she invited to things? She looked good. She really did, but I don't get her relevance at all.

Halle Berry:
Like Carla Gugino, Halle could wear anything and look good. This is a great example because this is HORRIBLE, but she still looks great. And I don't get the leg thing. Like, we didn't make enough fun of Jolie last year? she had to do it too?

I don't know, I expect more and better from her.

Giuliana Rancic:
This dress is SO awful. OMG. She changed really quickly from her pre-show dress into this. The pre-show was quite beautiful...and this thing was choking the life out of her. Presumably, this is why her lips are covered in an ox's blood.

So bad.

Helen Hunt:
They did a close up of her in the audience and I realize now why I thought she looked SO good at the Critic's Choice awards. She has jammed her face full of fillers. Like, FULL. Her face was so bulbous in some places she looked like that mask guy from 'Saw'. I have never in my life seen cheeks that jut out like that. It was horrible.

This dress does not do it for me.

Hayden Panettiere:
More than the dress, which is really boring and does not merit any discussion, her hair is blowing my mind. What the hell color is that? Honey? I don't get what is going on here. I love the colored clutch, but I hate the color she chose. The hair color is seriously mesmerizing. I can't take it.

Isla Fischer:
Why so sullen? I actually really like this dress, though it falls in that cross section of glittery neutral dresses that I'm totally sick of now that last night happened. I don't get her facial expression though. Like, lighten up a bit.

Helen Mirren:
What can I say other than she's perfect? Like, this look is so perfect. The dress is beautiful, age appropriate, sexy but not overly revealing, trend-right. It's perfection. Hell, I would like this dress. Imagine in a fitted knee-length? Oooh! I want it now!

Jennifer Garner:
Everyone said Ben needed the spotlight because of his Oscar snub, and that she should dress low key to allow him that. Well, not that I would call this low key, but it is really pretty. The picture doesn't do it justice, it was more shimmery and shiny when it moved. It's beautiful and her hair was very pretty too.

Jennifer Lawrence:
There is much talk about the bustline of this dress. Which was...interesting. But she's 22. It SHOULD be interesting. And her hair, oh my god, her hair was perfect. It was so beautiful, full of texture but soft and pretty.

I loved this. The Dior shiny gold belt was a really strong feature that a few women wore and it was really beautiful in this version.

Jessican Chastain:
This was one of the biggest disappointments of the evening. After that amazing McQueen at the Oscars last year, we all wanted a little more from Jessica. And while the mint color was refreshing, this dress was a big fail. I mean, look at the chest area! It is SO unflattering. It makes her look like she has udders instead of breasts. SO bad. And then there was her hair. It looked like they tried 5 styles and then there was so much product in her hair that they just decided to go with that and comb it back. It ended up looking greasy and gross.

Yuck.

Jennifer Lopez:
Only JLo, right? Like, no one else could pull this off. And she showed up at the very last minute. Breezed through, barely anyone saw her. Then we saw her inside with her embarrassment of a boyfriend.

The dress is very her. The hair, I feel like I've seen before.

Julia Louis-Dreyfuss:
Vera Wang. It looks Vera Wang. It has that vibe about it. She looked great - I mean, she always does, but this dress really didn't do it for me. It is beautiful, but you really have to love that look. I don't.

Julianne Hough:
When we first saw her, it was only from the waist up, and we all freaked. And then we saw the bottom. the bottom TOTALLY ruins it for me. Imagine it was a column or a mermaid? I would have died. And honestly, even though everyone says that hers and Ryan Seacrest's relationship is a cover for his actual relationship with her brother, Derek, it was kind of cute how he interrupted an interview he was having and told her she looked pretty.

Jessica Alba:
While delightful to see color, this taffeta disaster was a major disappointment. And her necklace was really cheesy. It looked like she bought it at Claire's. her hair was great. GREAT.

Ugh, look who's in the background. JLo's boy toy.

Kaley Cuoco:
SOMEONE GET THIS GIRL A STYLIST. JESUS. Rule #1 - don't wear a dress the same color as your skin. Rule #2, don't do your eyes AND your lips dark and goth. Ugh.

This girl needs help.

Kelly Osbourne:
She really sassed a stylist in the pre-show which was hilarious. what is not hilarious is her hair. It's fucking awful. And this dress was no good. Why is it cut like that? Ugh. I really don't like her.

Katharine McPhee:
Never before has a nickname worked more in my favour: Tits McPhee. It's her ACTUAL LAST NAME. I love it. This dress is on a few people's best dressed and I really hate it. The back was all wrong, it was strangely cut and didn't tie into the front at all.

Her top knot seemed really inappropriately casual and drew the vertical line too aggressively. It made her look 14 feet tall. Those shoes are making me stabby. Why would you not put the toe strap in black too?

Kate Hudson:
We all died for this. It's EPIC. So gorgeous, elegant, sleek. Perfect. Then Ryan Seacrest asked about the contents of her purse, which was really awkward. There was some discussion of tampons, but I don't believe any celebrity would do that at this time of year.

I die for this dress. It's amazing.

Kerry Washington:
While this is a terrible picture, she looked so pretty, that I'm kind of forgiving of this vaguely tacky mess. I also just watched 'Django Unchained', so I'm partial to her. This stance is kind of hilarious though.

Lena Dunham:
This, like her posture, was unfortunate.

She won for something. That was good.

Mayim Bialik:
Why so long? Is it to look dreamy? I don't know. She never really dresses that well. This is pretty, and I like the subtle color, but it looks a year old.

Maria Menounos:
Fits her perfectly, is easily chic and fits in well with the blush/neutrals theme. How great would this have been in coral and in crepe? Ugh. People should listen to me.

Lucy Liu:
This is showing up on best dressed lists AND worst dressed. I like it. It's different. I was not into her braid, because on TV it looked puffy and frizzy, but in photos is comes off really pretty. I like that she took a chance with something interesting. It's not a bedazzled blush column, and for that reason, I like it.

Michelle Dockery:
I get the idea of this, doesn't mean I like it. I can't condone a severe shoulder. But I get it. I do. I just don't like it. At all.
I don't even really know who this is, but I like it. In theory. I just can't with those shoulders. She's too thin and they're a little too aggressive.

Megan Fox:
Oh yay. Blush again.
Her face is a freakshow by the way. I loved how Jonah Hill was with her on stage. Did you get the impression that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler brought THEIR writers to do even the little intros? Everything seemed funnier last night.

Nicole Kidman:
I did not like this. I don't think any of us did. I think I like it more in the light of day. Or maybe it's because she's built like a mannequin. I don't know. Maybe it's because I can't hear her squawking in her stupid voice. Something is different today. I think I might like this dress. Not her hair though. Definitely not her hair.

Naomi Watts:
This was so beautiful in person. The back and a large keyhole and it was so sleek and elegant. And the color was so rich. And honestly, it was so nice to see color. She looked really great.

Marion Cotillard:
She can do no wrong in my eyes. But she's even higher up now. Her hair, the make-up, the dress. Oh my god. The pointed pump is back, and she may have had a slight misstep on the color (I would have preferred something else than this weird orange) but I love this, love her and I want to marry her. Or maybe even, like, lock her in an attic. No? Too crazy? I LOVE HER!

Olivia Munn:
I hate her. Like a lot. She always looks like she's cranky and she it touted as being so sexy, which I don't really get. But I really, really liked this dress. I don't know why. I don't love the necklace, it was a little cheesy, like a 90's prom, but I really, really LOVE this dress. The column skirt is so simple and that beading was so unbelievable on the top. Love it.

Rachel Weisz:
Unfortunately, I didn't see this skirt until I saved the photo. Oh god. So much potential, and then this skirt. I mean, she saves it all by walking around with Daniel Craig on her arm, but that skirt is gross.

Nicole Richie:
So many things wrong. Her eye make-up was aqua, and it pointed down her nose, giving even more emphasis than normal to her nose. Then there is this dress. I feel like it's something Helen Mirren would wear. No? The purse is amazing, I die for it. And her hair color is gorge. But the dress and her make-up, which lets be honest are the most important parts, are awful.

Rosario Dawson:
I've seen her look SO much better. It was really nice to see color, again mint. And her skin looked great, but there is something going on with that fit that is not working. It's making her looking fat and she is not fat. I don't know. I love her a lot and this dress doesn't love her nearly enough.

Rosie Huntington-Whitely:
Meh. This is super boring. If I were her, had her body and that hair, I would have done much greater things with myself.

Sarah Hyland:
Beauty Writer gave her a thumbs up for tits. She finds boobs timeless and no one was rocking their boobs last night. This is Max Azaria Atelier and it was beautiful in person. Her hair was also amazing. It was giant. I want giant hair.

Sally Field:
This was a lot more cleavage than I was prepared to deal with. I didn't like it. Other than that, very pretty.

Taylor Swift:
She was rocking some very serious helmet head. It was gross. Not nice at all. And then there was this dress. People were very excited about it, but the 3 of us saw it all sorts at our graduation proms. It was so late 90's. I don't know. I'm over her.

Zooey Deschanel:
We felt like she wore this exact dress last year, but in powder blue. Then even Ryan Seacrest made a comment about it. Like, when HE does, maybe it's time to mix it up. We also hated her pearls.

Tina Fey:
She knows what looks good on her and she wears it. And she always mixes it up enough so she doesn't pull a Zooey Deschanel. And she looked AMAZING last night. Her hair looked SO good. It has never looked better. And she was insanely funny. I am in love with her. It's official.
