She was found by her security team in her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton. Paramedics performed CPR on her and she never recovered.
Whitney suffered from addiction issues famously for years. She was seen this past week looking disheveled and heavier than she has been in the past.
Sad.
Let's remember her for her beautiful voice and her fantastic acting in 'The Bodyguard' (hee hee, sorry, couldn't resist)
Update:
There will be many more details surfacing over the following days, but it seems to be confirmed that Whitney died due to a mix of prescription medication and alcohol.
She passed away while having a bath in preparation for the Clive Davis pre-Grammy party that was thrown Saturday night.
Though drowning does not appear to be the cause of death, some water was found in her lungs due to her being submerged when she was found.
Just so sad
