Critics' Choice Awards

Ok, so it's awards season...which really is my bread and butter here. It's what I do best, let's be honest.

Last night was the Critics' Choice Awards, and tonight is the Golden Globes. The GG's I will be addressing tomorrow evening. I'm very sorry for the delay, but a wonderful friend of mine is here from NYC and we're going to spend some time together.

Here's what I could muster up from the CC's last night (with extremely little effort - Thank you DListed and PopSugar)

Amy Poehler:
Funny = hot in my books. You could be the most gorgeous thing ever, but if you can't squeeze out a joke or a witty remark here and there, then you suck. Amy Poehler, by that formula, is hotness. Love the dress because it gives me disco vibes and those of you who know me, know I love me some disco.

Carey Mulligan:
Carey is dating Shia Leboeuf (mmm) and is being majorly talked about in Hollywood lately for her very serious acting skills. I love her necklace, it's perfect...I kind of wish she hadn't gone full length on the dress but I see how she could have considered short dress + hair = kitschy.

Diane Kruger:
Wow. I mean, um, wow. Someone needs to eat something. Jeez. Seriously. I didn't think she was one of those anorexic girls. Damn she's thin. That's gross and REALLY distracting from what we're supposed to be looking at, which is her dress. Seriously. I'm a little grossed out. Dress looks kind of like it came from Winsor Fashions prom collection...gah.

I'm unhappy right now.

Emily Blunt & Jon Krasinski:
They definitely win cute couple. So cute! They look kind of alike, but I can deal with that. Too cute. I'm not in love with her dress, but they're so cute together that I'll let it go. It's kind of figure-skater-y, no? Yeesh.

Heather Graham:
This girl is just sexy. She's sexy. Even wearing this near full coverage sheath she's still hot. She really is quite the firecracker...now tell me though, does it look to you like she did something to her face? Because her face looks different to me and I can't tell if it's the dress/hair colour combination or she's plumped something.

Take a look, let me know.

Julianne Moore:
Always gorge. This is kind of the length I'd have preferred to see Carey in, but it's equally lovely on Julianne Moore. She's such a gorge lady. Especially when she's accessorized with Tom Ford (see below). Oh. Now I'm distracted by Tom Ford's serious gorgessity. Damn.

Kristin Chenoweth:
Evidently, she hosted the show. Why? No clue. She's kind of crazy-seeming to me. Always a little too happy and excited...and that mood would explain her teeny tiny frame too. Maybe she's happy with some white powder? Not nice to assume, but sometimes things just add up.

Her hair is waaayyyy too big for her tiny body here. She looks like a ridiculous Barbie/Skipper doll or something.

Marion Cotillard:
Gorgeous. God, I think I would marry her. She's just so beautiful. Could she replace Kate Beckinsale as our goddess? Let me know what you think in the comments. My only issue with it is that she is not super high exposure. She lives in France, she doesn't shop at the grove like Kate...still, so beautiful and such a good actress.

What do you think?
Sandra Bullock:
I was all about this look until I saw those shoes. GAHHH. WTF are those? They make her legs look stumpy and fat when combined with the hemline from her dress. Oh. Ew. Wow. Those are really bad. They look like she's wearing hammer heads for feet. Love the dress though. Really do. And her hair. But damn, those things on her feet have got to go.

Tom Ford (with some lady I can barely see because my eyes are glued to his handsomeness):
Seriously. This man is pure foxiness. He's balding yet he pulls it off. Could he be more fantastic? Look at how his chest fills out that tux. Oh my. OHHH MY. I think I need to go put a cold compress on my forehead. I have Tom Ford Fever.

Zoe Saldana:
Wouldn't be my first choice, but thank god for her legs because they're saving that cream puff of a dress from pure disaster. It's really blah, but her skin and those damn legs pull it off...not to mention those over-the-top gorgeous shoes. May I have them?

Ok, so as I mentioned, I will only be posting on the Golden Globes tomorrow evening. Enjoy them and think of mean things we can say about people who don't have to do our tedious jobs to get paid very little and struggle through our every day.

This time I'm going to lie down with a drink. I'm depressed. Wait! Scroll up to Tom Ford. Mmmm. Better now.

I'm definitely voting for marion cotillard as the new goddess, she's so beautiful and captivating.

As for heather Graham, I'm pretty sure it's the makeup and hair combo. I've seen her since Shout(back when people cared about Jamie Walters) and she looks almost exactly the same. I think it's the eyeliner.
