2014 Golden Globes Touch-Up

Seee....the problem with making a drinking game of watching the Golden Globes...is that by the end, you can't see. Sooo, I wrote the fashion post that night, barely remember ANY of it and missed a pretty notable person...the Skankopolis Goddess: Kate Beckinsale. Oops.

Kate Beckinsale:
Now, I wouldn't normally grant her a post all to herself...but she's really one of the only people I missed. And this dress. This dress is SPECTACULAR. It's a little much, like almost everything she wears, but you know what? I believe in dressing up, and I believe in Kate Beckinsale and she looks good.

There were some complexion issues, she had a weird greasy vibe, but aside from that? Typically lovely.

Ok, and then there were after parties. So here are some notables:

Alexa Chung:
She is known around the world as REALLY stylish. This dress is a mess. It looks like a von Trapp reject. I really like the shoes, because they look comfortable and accessible, not insane. But that dress. Oh my god. And what did she do to her hair? It legit looks like when someone falls asleep and lets their hair dry naturally. This is not good.

Diane Kruger:
Speaking of hair. This is not her best. She manages to pull it off, because she is stunning and because this dress is amazing, but, like, it looks like very little effort was put in on the scalpular level. No? Not to mention all the talk this dress has caused about her possibly being pregnat.

Either way, the dress is amazing. I wish I owned it. It's timeless.

Ellie Kemper:
Oh god why? So matronly, so oddly colored (who ever said butter was a good color to wear?) and so not flattering. Look at those cuts at the bust? Wretched. Also, she looks really sweaty. What's up with that. Get some translucent powder, woman.

Taylor Swift:
I read the best quote about this dress, "She looks like a drunk hammock." I can't top it, but I can like it and repeat it.

This is slutty. But it's also a sweater. How does she manage to make everything a little lame?
