Things that make me want to cry: The Situation will make $5 million this year

If you watch Jersey Shore (and if you don't, DO), you know that the situation, while hilarious, is essentially a gigantic douchebag.

I just read an article stating that he is projected to make $5 million this year in product endorsements, $60 thousand per episode for the show and appearances. This makes me want to die. While I do find the show really entertaining, I cannot wrap my head around why we would do this kind of thing, as a society.

We have the majority of the US population in major debt or legitimately living in poverty and we're so stupid that we put these celebrities up on pedestals and make morons like that guy earn $5 million a year. RIDICULOUS.

Seriously, I don't think all these natural disasters are a mistake. I think they're a sign that we need to change our ways...
