The 2014 Teen Choice Awards Red Carpet Looks

I feel a little old to be covering this, honestly. But whatever. I like fashion and these young people are wearing it.

Bella Thorne:
She is the face of the Candies brand at Kohl's that sponsored the event. Which I assume is why her outfit matches the carpet...this skirt is a lot, and I find her hair color a really weird color that hair is not naturally. But she's cute and she seems vaguely wholesome which is important for a brand ambassador.

Chloe Grace Moretz:
I really don't know why this girl annoys me so much. But she does. And the fact that she's wearing a tube bra as a top makes me horrified that the crop top trend has already migrated to this. I was really hoping it would be done a little differently this time, that it wouldn't end up just stomachs all over the place, but no. It went there.

I mean, would it have been SO bad to have it come down to her rib cage? I guess we should be thankful that she's wearing it with a high waisted short and a little jacket. Fine. Pass the turkey, I'm thankful.

Hilary Duff:
This skirt is the horror of my nightmares. So unflattering, so ill fitting. Such a weird length. And the top. Is anyone else having flashbacks of No Doubt in 1996? She looks happy, so I wanted to like it, but it's a scroll-down horror. The length of the skirt just kills it.

Kendall Jenner:
If not for the sheer panels, I'd be in love with this. The sheer panels make it cheesy and Kardashian-y. But, when in Rome, dress like your whorey sisters in Rome.

Kim Kardashian:
For some reason the fact that her shoes are white is really offending me. Like, couldn't it have been way more major with a black shoe? Or a metallic? The white is really flashy, especially after the already flashy zebra skirt and knotted leather top.

Kylie Jenner:
This is her 17th birthday. 17th! And the poor girl looks 30. And miserable. But that's probably because she looks 30...It's a chicken and the egg situation. Explained really well here (jump to 0:55)

Lucy Hale:
Also, who? I don't know. I find this girl kind of neutral/innocuous. She gives me very little in terms of excitement. Like, she's the beige of starlets. She also looks strikingly like she could be Danica McKellar's (Winnie Cooper, duh) younger, prettier sister, non?

Those shoes look horrible and make her ankles look really fat.

Nina Dobrev:
There is a lot of unflattering things happening in this shoe/outfit combo, but somehow Nina Dobrev pulls it off. But I really hate this. Except on her.

I love her braid, but I am happy to see that most of that volume is super faux, so it does not make me feel like my normal human hair is unacceptable.

Selena Gomez:
She and the Biebs seem to be on the rocks again, but there are many, many rumours about her being heavily into drugs lately. And spending a lot of time with Cara Delevingne, who tends to like the girls...so lots of questions about her sexual orientation.

None of those things should take away from this spectacular Saint Laurent suit though, because it's amazing. And I covet those shoes.

Taylor Swift:
Karlie Kloss clone, Taylor swift looks as demure and pretty as she always does, though I am not digging this mullet hairstyle. I'm also feeling like that fabric looks really sweatery and not cool at all in the middle of summer.

Like the shoes though, for sure.
