Things I hate - part 2

My 1997 Mazda Protege:

I hate my 1997 Mazda Protege. Without fail, every couple of months, the check engine light comes on for no reason. But you don't know it's for no reason until you take it to the garage, run a $100 diagnostic, etc.

Lately, my car has decided to sputter and stop working. Although this is a common problem with the 1997 Protege, my mechanic says the only way to find out what's wrong is to replace the parts (one is $500, the other is $200) and see if the problem is still there. But then what?! Stupid goddam car.

This car was apparently amazing up until 1996 and after 1998. We got the lemon year. I can't wait to get rid of this car. Now, if I could just win the lottery...
