RIP Harold Ramis

Man, my day sucked and I didn't even know about this yet. Now it REALLY sucks.

RIP Harold Ramis, one of the greatest minds in comedy.

You will be missed.

Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green Named Their 2nd Baby Bodhi Ransom

It's quite a name. Their first son is called Noah, so the internet was speculating they might go bibilical again...but they fooled us all and went quasi-Olympics and crime. Combo!

People really need to stop with the names though. This won't end well.

Like, no one named Bodhi or Ransom is doing my taxes. You're setting them up to be landscapers. Oh wait. Nope, they're going to be millionaires and not work.

Ugh. I hate my life.

OH CANADA!

Whilst I didn't think my first post would be in the confines of one, two, no three blankets, I had to peel away from my sick pity party and say my piece on Canada and the Olympics.

To begin, CANADA KICKS ASS (Like you didn't already know).


CURLING
I do not understand one thing about curling but I watched about two hours of this rock bumping, ice sweeping sport while impatiently waiting for my turn to be called at the walk in clinic. Through every rough patch our curling Canucks kept their cool which ultimately resulted in some pissed off Swedes and some gold medals for our girls who apparently swept their way undefeated to gold! Canadian curlers.... Wait for it ... rock!



HOCKEY
Obv, now to what you really want to hear.. Canada's women's hockey team reclaimed the title as the best female hockey players in the world today in a sudden death over time victory against our archenemies to the south ( aka The United States of America ). 
We won 3-2 and I personally felt a whole tangle of emotions. 
Why?

1.  There's a Brianne on the team and she's from Ontario and well... she's now one of my heroes because she gave the team what it needed to get out of their funk and get back in the game with 3:26 seconds left. 
2. This is our fourth time winning gold in women's hockey. FOUR. That's sixteen years of golden bliss!
3. Though I was thoroughly pissed that we didn't dominate the whole game, I am so very glad that we provided an interesting, heart wrenching, TV cursing, nail biting game to watch...and after all, Canada lose? Get the puck out of here (hehehe... Okay enough now B). 
4. I am now impatiently waiting for the men's final.There's only one thing to say... 

Congrats to our women's hockey champs.
Let's go boys! 

BEER
Special shout-out to Molson Canada and their wizardry. 
Only Canadians would have a beer fridge that opens with Canadian passports only.
It's the bees knees I swear!

'Mean Girls' Turns 10 This Year

You guys, remember the first time you saw 'Mean Girls'? Soooo goood.

This year is the 10th anniversary of the movie and there's a lot of fangirl stuff happening.

Achy Breaky Heart 2 - Or Why Does the Cyrus Family Hate Us?

Some of you may be unfortunate enough to remember Billy Ray Cyrus' one hit wonder "Achy Breaky Heart" from the 90's.

And his mullet. Ugh.

Anyhoo, because his daughter is getting all the attention now he has decided to release a the long not-awaited sequel to that song.

Firstly, Billy, that mullet is so epic. Like, I can't.

Secondly, I have conducted a very quick survey and no one on Earth asked for a sequel to Achy Breaky Heart.

Trust me.

Anyhoo, I'd like to consider myself pretty smart (CONSIDER) and I avoided Gangnam Style, that weird Fox song and I plan to avoid this. If you insist on watching it (because I know you do), here it is. After the jump, because I don't want it on my main page.

Happy Olympics (or Ugh, They Are So Boring)

I hate winter sports. I hate being cold. Yet, I live in this awful climate we call Montreal in the winter. It's gross.

Grosser even is the 16 days I'm going to have to endure of Olympic bombardment. Blech. Especially this Olympic games, in the intolerant Russia. I am not ok with telling people they can't love who they want to love.

So, based on this, I love the picture of Putin above (thank you Queerty) and I LOVE this video that The Canadian Institute of Diversity and Inclusion released in protest.
